Review: Foltene Eyelash & Eyebrow treatment

Remember this Foltene treatment that I tried a while ago? Well, I've to say I tried it out and managed to finish one tube of the treatment before I got lazy. Heh.

What I liked:
  • There was no smell. You know I've this thing abt heavily scented/fragranced stuff ya? ;)
  • It didn't irritate my eyes *thumbs up*
  • It seemed to work
What I didn't like:
  • You need to be diligent with this aka no slacking, just put it on every day.
  • It's not as cheap as some of the other treatments on the market. I would say this is more of an observation; there're more expensive treatments out there too, so this would be a relatively mid-priced option ESP since I got this at a discount ;)
What I did:
  • Apply as I would a mascara
  • Brushed it on my eyelashes every nite before bed (or as much as I could remember to. I was too tired at times n simply forgot *oops*)
  • Wash my face as usual in the morning tho I did pay a little more attention to my lashes by "wiping" them down a little. It's one of my idiosyncrasies I guess. Even if a mask says there's no need to wash off, I tend to use water to cleanse off any perceived residue.
And the results ... ... (don't be freaked out by the photos ya)

What I started with:

On-going process:

At the end:

The photos don't seem to reveal much difference, do they? ;) Well, I'm not sure if it's psychological but I really saw a difference as soon as one week after I started using the product. My lashes seemed fuller, they were easier to curl (n hold the curl better too); I just could see more of them.

I've to admit, I lost interest after one tube n haven't been paying attention to my lashes since, SO I've no idea if the effect has worn off after I stopped using this. For something more obvious n hassle-free, perhaps eyelash extensions or falsies would work better? But that's another story for another time.

Have a good weekend! :)

Gorgeous lush eyelashes: Foltene Eyelash & Eyebrow Treatment

I was searching around for some eyelash treatments which help in the eyelash dept ;) So happened there was a promotion going on this time around and I thot I'd give this brand a try. Have not heard much abt this, nor came across any reviews but well, here goes :)

People who read my blog know I really like gd service. I sent in an enquiry abt this product last week but didn't hear from them, so I thot it was a no go. Received a follow-up email yesterday from the company, saying they've not heard from me since their first reply and was I still interested in the product? I went searching round my mailbox. Oh. They were actually very prompt in responding but somehow that first mail ended up in my spam folder. LOL. Kudos to the customer service lady for taking the initiative to check back with me *thumbs up*

Which led me to this purchase. The whole process was very fuss-free. I replied via email with my particulars yesterday, stating my preferred delivery time. And voila, it was delivered to my office today at the appointed time. Payment was cash on delivery and the package came in a nice paper bag with some brochures on the active ingredients of the product.

Here it is :)
Maybe it's just me but I felt rather assured when I saw the "Best Beauty Buys" winner award sticker on the packaging ;)

It looks like any other mascara tubes on the outside.

The brush looked really interesting and the bristles look as if they'll really do a good job in distributing the product to every single strand of my lashes.

I'll be trying it out later tonight. Cross my fingers, it should work within 2 weeks (that's what the brochure claimed). Wish me luck!

Eyelash treatments

So with my mascara haul, I thot I'd check out some eyelash treatments as well. You know, things which make the eyelashes grow lusher and longer. Being an Asian (or a Chinese rather), my lashes are rather stick straight and not as long as I'd like them to be. I also tend to have problems getting eyelashes to curl. The best I've ever done so far was to go for an eyelash perm, but that can't be a long term solution, can it?

Came across the Foltene Eye Lash & Brow Treatment while surfing online. Has anyone tried this? Does it work?

I'd be interested to hear any other tips or products to try for eyelashes. Do share :)
